Along with doing Global Mission work,
FBC is being used by God for mission work
here in our community and in various states.

FBC Food Pantry:

Every Thursday from 9:00-Noon, we open our food pantry and distribute boxes of food to those in our community who need it.  Should you find that you or your family need food, no appointment is necessary, please just stop by during those times.

Daily Bread Ministry:

Every Tuesday at Noon, the Daily Bread Ministry headed up by Coby Sutherland, takes boxes of food to the campus of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and feeds over 100 families.

Annual Angel Tree Ministry:

Our church assists Seminary parents, who are having financial struggles during the Christmas Season, to provide Christmas toys for their children. Through this ministry, it ensures that children will have a gift to open on Christmas morning, as we show God's love in a practical way.  This ministry is able to provide over 400 gifts to families each year.

Disaster Shelter:

FBC also serves as a disaster shelter when called upon.  During hurricane Katrina, our gym was used as housing for many evacuees escaping the flooding.  FBC stands ready to be used whenever called upon and continues to make improvements to its facilities to accommodate more families should the need arise.

First Response:

With FBC being located in the DFW area, we are in a unique location to be able to respond and help when tragic weather hits.  We have been able to assist those who have been victims of tornados and hurricanes, by traveling to those affected areas and providing food and clothing, while working with local officials in the process of cleaning up.

FBC is proud to partner with:

Hands of Hope Ministry:

We partner with the Hands of Hope Ministry, who assist the homeless in the Tarrant County area with food, clothing, housing, and any other needs that arise.  This ministry is run and operated by John and Janet Ramsey.

Child Evangelism Fellowship:

FBCFW hosts a club each semester at John D. Spicer Elementary on Fridays after school. Volunteers provide snacks, music, and Bible stories to show the kids the love of Jesus in a practical way.

Matthew 25:37-40--"Then the righteous will answer Him, "Lord when did we see you hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink?  When did we see You as a stranger and invite You in, or need clothes and clothe You?  When did we see You sick or in prison and go to visit You?" "The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me."

Our Lord and Saviour commissioned us to carry out these mission projects.  Mission projects are done through us as a church, through members giving of themselves to help others who are going through difficult times.  This Scripture teaches us that when we help others, we are doing it for the One who loved us and died for us, Jesus Christ our Savior.
