The First Baptist Church of Fort Worth Bible Institute
is a teaching, training, and disciplining ministry of
the church. Scripture teaches that as followers of
Jesus Christ we are to study to show our self approved
(2 Timothy 2:15) and prepared to give an answer for the
hope that is within us (1 Peter 3:15). The goal of
this ministry is to educate God's people through in
depth study of the scriptures for the defense and
witness of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This study is a basic
understanding of how the canonization and translation of
the New Testament came about with an overview of the
historical, political, social, cultural and theological
background to gain understanding to the meaning of the
text. Discuss the Synoptic Problem with peers and
understand the meaning of each Synoptic Gospel.
Continue one's own future study of the New Testament
with ample bibliographical resources.
This study is for the
student to gain an appreciation for the subject of
origins and how they affect our belief systems and us.
It covers the two major origin postulates and how they
harmonize with the scientific method. Included in this
study is the consideration of the Laws of Thermodynamics
and how they affect the basic tenants of both systems of
origin theory. It concludes with the principles of
Biblical Creationism and be acquainted with several
different ideas about how scriptural creation occurred.
This study informs the
student about the basics of apologetics which enables
them to offer a defense of Christianity and be an
effective/informed witness to the gospel. The primary
goal is that the student will know the basics of
defending the faith.
